Order Only: Octoboros news

I met with Rachel Brodie last night, who arrived late, but came bearing a spot of news, which could be important. It seems that the Department of Mysteries is all in a pother because 'something happened in the far north,' specifically Northern Scotland, that wasn't supposed to happen. They've sent out a contingent to investigate, including some high level individuals from outside the department (Draco, I believe your father is one of them), which seems to consist mostly of milling around and asking each other what the hell just happened? One theory is bungled calculations of some sort (Bode's name was mentioned). Rachel was able to confirm for me that this was about an Octoboros. (Although she didn't use that word, and neither did I. Just 'a stone').

Kingsley, I just saw your post.

You were hunting in the correct direction. They expected the one 'at St David's' to flare next. That must be St David's, at the tip of Wales?

But instead, an Octoboros just went off out of sequence.

(Might be as late as after dinner, Mrs L. I've brought some food with just in case. Mr L said he'd be at the course with Fu for another couple of hours, and then we're going to go through some drills too.)

Slowly and cautiously. I do second-guess myself continually whenever I've spent time with her, although I'm getting over the flinching fear she might betray us. I would think she's given us enough good information to convince even the most skeptical among us that her true loyalty isn't to the Protectorate.

She's still involved with Lucius Malfoy, damn him. Who, ironically, is one of her best sources of information--including what I've passed on here, in fact--so I can hardly ask her to give him up.

I do wish--well. I suppose it helps not to think too far in the future.

I think her Animagus form is quite perfect, really. Prickly on the outside, and she hides her vulnerabilities--but she has 'em.

I do like her. As to whether she likes me or not--I think so, but I wonder about her reasons why sometimes.
