We're here, and we've been talking for awhile. Tonks had a bit of conversation with her earlier. For now, Remus and Ellie are with other customers, and Sinbad is apparently sleeping under a chair a few tables away.

There's willingness to negotiate but it's slow going, since neither side wants to tip the hand prematurely. Some frustration surfaced, so we're taking a break and she's gone off to the loo.

Now the Ponds' dog is awake and up and sauntering off toward the kitchen...

Sorry to steal her away for so long, Bill: It just seemed like it might be faster and easier to introduce myself. I think it worked, although of course she's got a limited brief on behalf of her people.

We talked for a few minutes before I sent her back out to you. I think we ought to propose a time to meet Ridley face to face. Rachel indicated that if we let Ridley pick the place, she might agree.

If it helps, I'm not sure she fits well Ridley's usual lot. She's not as gentle as some of ours but not as ruthless as Ridley herself.

I think it was a good call. She was starting to sound a little irritable at the time she stepped away, frustrated, maybe, that we weren't making much progress.

She sounded more thoughtful when she came back. She said she liked my friends.
