alt_billI started out making this private journal post private to Alice, Remus, Cedric, Aurora and Rachel, but I think it should be opened up further. Some of the students may have heard something that will answer this question (especially Hydra or Justin), and any of you may have some ideas.
I've been thinking, and poring over the journal entries the night the staff left Hogwarts. This is what we badly need to know: what, exactly, tipped Dolohov off? I gather from a comment Cedric wrote that it had something to do with some arithmatic calculations done by Linus--that's Linus Moon, right? The Head Boy? Was the information Dolohov used to move against Aurora from those same arithmatic calculations or was it provided by Sprout under torture? If the former, where ELSE could those calculations lead Dolohov?
Alice and Remus, what more did you learn by debriefing those who fled that night? Aurora and Cedric, I gather you had more interaction with Dolohov that night than Poppy did, and Pomona, unfortunately, can tell us nothing more. Can you add anything? Anything he wrote to you, Aurora, or anything you overheard, Cedric?
Rachel, have you gleaned anything from MLE's side?
We need to figure out as much as we can, to guage the danger to our remaining Order members at Hogwarts.
