There's a custom that's been gaining ground at Hogwarts the past few years, that kissing a ginger on the first day of spring is supposed to bring luck.

I strongly suspect my unscrupulous (and strongly ginger) brothers Fred and George in having a hand in getting this bogus custom started.

But despite knowing something about its dubious origins, I can't help wondering whether two gingers kissing means double the good luck.

Would you care (and are you free) to put this theory to the test? Or to go elsewhere to put it to the test? Because Merlin knows I can use all the luck I can get.

Am at Doughty Conduit. Will be here another hour. Perhaps I'll see you, perhaps I won't. Your choice. Or perhaps you won't even see this until after midnight, rendering the question moot, and I'll just have to limp along with the amount of luck I have already.

Cheers.
