Thanks, it was an enjoyable evening. I promise I'll buy the rounds next time. Of course, usually if you want your personal aide to be at his desk bright-eyed and bushy-tailed on time the next morning, ready to slog through the piles of reports in his in-box, it's best not to dip too deeply into the Firewhiskey with him the night before. Especially when you buy the good stuff.
I'm so glad you ignore standard managerial advice like that. It's part of the reason we get along so well. Don't worry, I was able to get home without splinching myself or anything, and I don't expect I'll have any trouble reporting to work in the morning. (Maybe I have a harder head than the average. It probably comes from so much experience at drowning my sorrows at the sight of the Chudley Cannons bombing out of the finals. For the hundred millionth time.)
The conversation was exceedingly interesting. I'll talk with my Dad, as you suggest, although like you, I'm not sure the trains idea for transporting so many workers is really a viable one. But I'll see what I can find out.
